Applying for a Car Repair Loan

Q. How do I apply for a car repair loan?
A. Our 4-step loan application process is done online only and is completely paperless. To get started, click here. You’ll be asked to create an account with your personal information. Then you’ll follow clear prompts that direct you through a few next steps. You can come back to your application at any time by logging in with the password you created.

Q. When will I know if I’m approved for a car repair loan?
A. Right away! After you hit the “Submit” button at the end of the car repair loan application, you’ll get an instant decision that shows the maximum amount you can finance through DigniFi.

Q. Is my personal information secure?
A. DigniFi takes the security of your personal information extremely seriously. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal law and implement appropriate information security protocols. See our privacy policy for more information.

Q. What if I need more money than I’m approved for to cover the cost of my car repairs?
A. All of your application and credit information is reviewed to figure out the maximum loan amount you qualify for. If your repairs cost more than your maximum loan amount, you’ll need to work with your auto service center to pay the difference.

Q. I don’t live in a state where DigniFi is available. Can I still apply for a car repair loan?
A. Unfortunately, we can’t provide car repair loans for customers outside of our participating states. We currently don’t operate in Massachusetts, North Dakota, South Carolina, Vermont or West Virginia.

Q. I don’t understand some of the loan terminology. Do you have a resource that can help me?

A. Yes, see our Definitions page to help you fully understand the loan-related terms you’ll see in the application process and in your car repair loan documents. You can also contact us at any time for an explanation. We can’t stress how important it is for you to ask questions if there’s something you don’t understand. 

About My DigniFi Car Repair Loan

Q. How will my auto service center know that I’m approved for a DigniFi loan so they can start my repairs?
A. If you’re working with a service center that partners with DigniFi, they’re notified via email as soon as you’re approved.

Q. What interest charges will I pay on a car repair loan through DigniFi?
A. You’ll be charged interest based on your application. Rates range from 9.99% to 36%.

Q. How do I qualify for the 60-days interest waived promotion?
A. You don’t have to do a thing. This loan benefit is available to all of our customers, assuming terms are met.*

Q. Can I print and save my car repair loan documents after I sign them?
A. Yes! It’s important for you to keep a copy of your loan documents for your records. The Truth in Lending Act (TILA) disclosure can be printed or emailed to you before you electronically sign your paperless loan documents. After you sign the loan documents, a copy of them will be emailed to you. You can also review your documents at any time when you log into your online customer account.

Managing My Car Repair Loan

Q. How can I get information about my account?
A. Simply go to www.dignifi.com and sign into your account with your password to make payments, review your contract, apply for a new car repair loan and more.

Q. How do I reset my password?
A. Go to www.dignifi.com and click “Sign In.” Then click “Forgot your password?” located under the password field. Next, enter the email address associated with your account. An email will be sent to you with reset instructions.

Q. How can I make a payment on my car repair loan?
A. There are several ways to pay:

  • Go to www.dignifi.com and sign in to your account to make a payment or set up recurring ACH payments (automatic payments that you authorize to be made from a bank account or credit card on a regular billing cycle).

  • Mail a check or money order to: DigniFi, P.O. Box 205853, Dallas, TX 75320-5853.

  • Set up the online bill pay service offered by your financial institution.

  • Call our customer service center at 855-808-5861 and provide a bank routing and account number, or credit/debit card.

Q. My car needs more repairs. Can I take out another car repair loan with DigniFi?
A. You may be eligible to apply for an additional loan. Just log into your account via the “Sign In” link on www.dignifi.com to get started.

Q. Can I pay off my car repair loan at any time?
A. Yes, you can pay your loan off at any time without a prepayment penalty.

Becoming a DigniFi Service Center Partner

Q. What sets DigniFi apart from other car repair financing programs, especially credit cards?
A. For starters, ease of use for customers, an online-only application and quick decisions. Another key advantage DigniFi has compared to most other forms of financing is that the loans we offer are simple interest rather than compound interest. Credit cards are all compounding interest. They’re also a line of credit, which is different from an unsecured, short-term loan. With DigniFi, your customer can pay off the loan in a specified time frame.

Q. Can we try offering DigniFi car repair financing without committing long term?
A. Absolutely. We offer a month-to-month agreement, so there’s no long-term commitment.

Q. What’s the process for onboarding our service advisors to the DigniFi program?
A. DigniFi has account reps that will train your service advisors in a group or individually — whichever works best for your service center. It usually takes 20 minutes or less to review all the program essentials. We create accounts for each advisor and review the training deck with them in detail. Our goal is to answer every question and ensure that the advisors are set up for success. We make our program extremely easy to use!

DigniFi Training and Support

Q. What DigniFi marketing support do we receive?
A. Your service center will get desktop point-of-sale kiosks, posters and stickers that help your customers to quickly learn about our car repair financing program. We also provide you a co-branded website landing page and website banner that you can leverage.

Q. Is there someone I can call at DigniFi who actually picks up the phone?
A. Yes. Just call DigniFi Customer Care at 855-808-5861. We’re ready to help in any way we can.

Q. Do we get a dedicated account manager?
A. Every service center we partner with is assigned a dedicated account manager. Ideally, the representative is local and available for in-store visits at least once a month. Some of our partner service centers have remote account managers that will travel to a region as needed. And, of course, you can always call or email your account manager at any time.

Q. We have new employees. Will DigniFi come back to train them?
A. DigniFi can arrange a remote training if there’s no local representative. We’ll provide as many remote-training sessions as you and your staff need. You just have to reach out to your dedicated DigniFi account manager to schedule them.

The Customer and Loan Process

Q. How does my service center educate customers about this great car repair financing program?
A. Your service advisors can share DigniFi point-of-sale materials with customers as well as text or email them a link to the DigniFi website. We make it super simple for the customer to review the program information while they’re waiting to have their car looked at.

Q. What if the customer doesn’t have access to a computer?
A. Customers can complete the loan application on any device with internet access. Or, you can provide them a computer terminal to fill out the loan application, which takes just minutes. The customer needs a valid email address because all documents are signed electronically and emailed to the customer for their records.

Q. What if the customer has some but not all of the cash needed for the car repairs?
A. If the customer is approved for a loan, it’s for the maximum amount that DigniFi will lend them. The customer may choose to use as much or as little of that amount as possible, up to the maximum. If their repair is $2,000 and they were approved for the entire amount, they can use as little as $350 (our minimum loan amount) or as much as $2,000 and then pay the balance out of pocket.

Q. How does my service center know if a customer has signed their DigniFi loan docs?
A. Your service center will receive an email confirming that the customer signed the loan documents. You can also log into your account on www.dignifi.com and view the loan status online. In addition, you can always call DigniFi Customer Care at 855-808-5861 if you have any questions.

Q. How long does it take for the repairs to get funded once they’re approved?
A. Your service center will receive funds via ACH deposit within 48 hours of the final funding email.
