Richard Counihan
Chief Executive Officer

Few people know the automotive industry better than Richard or prioritize customer and employee well-being higher. Before leading DigniFi’s charge to provide a better kind of car repair loan, he founded Enprecis, an online vehicle quality measurement company that now operates in 12 countries. He was also a senior executive at call-tracking leader Who’s Calling and an integral part of the team that successfully sold the company to private equity. Prior to Who’s Calling, he was instrumental in growing Percepta, a joint venture between Ford and Teletech to manage global customer relationship management activities. Richard graduated from University College London.

Tim Clay
Chief Revenue Officer

Tim has more than 20 years’ experience providing real-world results in the automotive retail space. He’s a graduate of the National Automobile Dealers Association’s distinguished Dealer Candidate Academy. Previously, he was chief operating officer and co-founder of ClickMotive (now Dealertrack Interactive), a software company that creates interactive marketing software exclusively for the automotive industry. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Oklahoma – Price College of Business.

Kevin Cawley
Chief Technology Officer

Kevin directs advanced technology initiatives that have established DigniFi as an industry leader in technical efficiency and product usability. Originally from the Northeast, Kevin began his career as a mechanical engineer. He soon discovered that his true passion was in software development and entrepreneurship, so he earned his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He went on to develop cutting-edge technologies and applications for a number of successful startups, from inception and sustainability to exit.

Hal Goetsch
Chief Financial Officer

Hal is optimizing the financial performance of DigniFi with more than 2 decades of experience in all aspects of equity research, portfolio management and risk analysis. His strong leadership has contributed to the success of a wide range of top financial services organizations, including Surveyor Capital/Citadel LLC, Alydar Capital, The Boston Company Asset Management and Fortis Investments. Hal also served 5 years as a nuclear power-trained submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.


John Gersitz
Senior Vice President of Loan Servicing

The automotive finance and technology sectors have been John’s home for the past 20 years. He’s built loan servicing and operation groups for multiple non-prime automotive finance companies with operations ranging in size from $50 million to over $1 billion in loans. He also played an integral role in acquiring a GPS technology company focused on providing auto lenders key information about location and use of their collateral. In addition, he led the Lender Services division for the nation's largest automotive GPS company and focused on bringing the benefits of a connected car to both the lender and consumer. John graduated from Northern Arizona University.

Ed Barry, CPA
Chief Credit and Risk Officer

Ed brings nearly 20 years of lending experience in the financial services industry to DigniFi. He provides the company a strong sense of regulatory awareness and compliance that’s deeply woven into operational policies and procedures. Prior to joining DigniFi, he was vice president of finance at DriveTime, the nation’s largest integrated used car retailer and subprime finance company, and Go Financial, a DriveTime subsidiary. He has a deep understanding of consumer analytics, from underwriting to collections, and has developed corporate risk, pricing, credit and financial models. Ed holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University. He’s also a CPA in Arizona.


Chet Love
General Counsel / Chief Compliance Officer

Chet has extensive experience in the financial services industry as a lawyer and lobbyist. He has helped create industry consumer protection best practices – which have been adopted into law in many states around the country. He has co-invented industry leading financial consumer products for Fortune 500 companies. Chet has served as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer to several national fintech companies and has created their compliance programs. Chet has a B.A. in Economics from Occidental College and a Juris Doctor & Master in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
